crown of the dent is larger than the coin pictured.  This is
considered an over-sized dent)

(note:  those are different size magnetic coin's in the picture on the left - 1/2 Dollar, Quarter, Nickel & Dime size)
Working on the Deck Lid.
Before we started, just like the hood: We duct taped the
underneath of the Deck Lid to minimize scratching the panel.
Chandra Atwood Cleaning Hood
Using denatured alcohol to take off the glue residue that
was left after removing the duct tape.
While Tom starts the repair's on the deck lid; Chandra will
put the finishing touches on the hood.
Applying matching touch up paint over the minor scratches
that occured around the access holes underneath the Hood.
This is usually necessary when repairing such a heavy hit
vehicle with oversized dents & typically isn't required  when
repairing minor hit hail vehicles.

In areas under braces and in other places out of reach
where scratches might occur, we spray a corrision protection
product to protect the panel.
If you look carefully, you can see some of the glue residue
from removing the duct tape on the bottom half under side of
the hood. The top half has already been cleaned.
The underside of the hood is now ready for it's hood pad
to be re-installed.
The hood pad re-installed.
